February 26th - March 1st

This week we learned about Pink Shirt Day and how it started. We watched a video about how David Sheppard and Travis Price decided to make a difference by taking action. Students quickly made many connections between the story of Pink Shirt Day and the our anchor text - The Power of One.

Learning Intention:
- children recognize boundaries in various situations

I Can:
- identify how to communicate personal needs and expectations to others in various situations

We talked about what a bully is and the difference between someone who is just being rude and someone who is being a bully. We talked about what kindness looks like sounds like and feels like. We also talked about the importance of recognizing when you don't feel good about the way someone is treating you and some different ways to communicate your feelings about it.

Students were excited to spread kindness and Heartprints to everyone all throughout the school this week 💗 We designed our own pink shirts and finished our work about describing love using our 5 senses.
